Core Functions
- Provide technical support in the development of trade and industry related programmes and activities that facilitate the creation of new policies and review existing ones to keep them updated for the dynamic needs of the sector.
- Coordinate and collaborate with other key stakeholders on improving the business environment
- Lead in research and analysis of policies and strategic issues to provide substantial data analytics support for policy implementation
- Ensure that policies and programmes from the Ministry’s goal and objectives are clearly defined with clear implementation milestone and timelines.
- Collaborate with all Directorates in creating public awareness of all MTI’s policies
- Responsible for the coordination and preparation of Annual Work Programmes of the Ministry
- Monitor the targets of policies and programmes in line with the Ministry’s goals and objectives.
- Responsible for the designing and application of monitoring and evaluation systems for purposes of assessing the sector’s operational effectiveness.
- Conduct research on trade and trade related programmes
